..:: Kiven Music ::..

Rising from the ashes of multiple bands, psycho neighbors, leopard straps, "lead singer syndrome," 80's music, metal, a red Jetta, talent, quesadillas (with a fork), tight jeans, bright glasses, and so forth... Kiven stands together as a group of guys looking to make some music together that draws connections with their audience and to perform that music with some serious passion. While the band may put on a comical facade, they are very dedicated towards their music and becoming successful. In a short time together, Kiven has played multiple shows, appeared on a collection of compilation albums, recorded at Sonikwire Studios, and has developed a strong local fan base. Kiven strives to make music that people can relate to; be that the lyrics, the driving bass lines, the complicated grooves, and different guitars, or the sound as a whole. The drummer Ted Boldt has been playing since he was eight years old and has been drumming for bands probably around the same time. He has a knack for coming up with outrageously creative ideas that help separate Kiven from the other bands in the Los Angeles scene. Lead Vocalist / Guitar player Tyler Demorest started playing music in middle school and is currently a Music Industry major at USC (He also grows a red beard). Bassist Colin Fitzgibbon has a funky style that makes most stop and listen in guitar center, but finds a way to come up with creative bass lines that keep Kiven songs moving. Guitarist Danny Schnair is a Studio Jazz Guitar major at USC and brings a more classic rock aspect to Kiven’s sound. In the end, Kiven and their multiple personalities is looking to catch your attention with sweet melody and to making your body groove to their superb sound!

The song "HOME" is currently on a compilation album released by No Cover magazine promoting mainly OC MUSIC FEST 09. "HOME" is also featured in the "Hearts Bleed Passion" online compilation released by Indie Vision Music.
